In the autumn of 2005, the Dartington Rural Archive (DRA) moved from Dartington to the Totnes Image Bank.
After 30 years in operation, the Dartington Rural Archive Trust has closed and placed its collection in the care of the Totnes Image Bank Trust. The collection is now known as the RURAL ARCHIVE. This collaboration has involved the scanning of 7,000 copy negatives and the setting up of a new database of these important images. The product of many hours of hard work can be viewed on the new public access screen at the Totnes Image Bank. The images tell the story of a lost way of life from the 1880s and cover the South Hams and other areas in Devon.
